Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance
AmericanAg® offers health and prescription coverage to eligible employees and their families. Eligible employees can choose from two PPO plans – a low deductible plan or an HSA-eligible high deductible plan.
If you enroll in the high deductible plan, AmericanAg® will make an annual contribution to your HSA account. The company pays most of the cost for individual coverage and a large portion of the cost for family coverage.
AmericanAg® offers dental coverage from Delta Dental PPO and vision coverage from VSP.
Retirement Benefits
AmericanAg® employees can take advantage of both a company-funded cash balance retirement plan and a 401(k) plan. Each year, eligible employees are credited with an allocation to their cash balance account within the pension plan.
The 401(k) plan is available through Fidelity. AmericanAg® matches employee contributions to the 401(k) dollar for dollar up to $3,500 per plan year. Matching funds are vested immediately.
Life Insurance
AmericanAg® provides both life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance in an amount of coverage equal to two times the employee’s earnings, up to a maximum of $750,000.
You may also purchase supplemental life insurance for you, your spouse and/or children.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Pre-tax flexible spending accounts are available for health expenses, dependent care, parking, and public transportation. For employees that participate in the high deductible health insurance plan, AmericanAg® also offers a Health Savings Account (HSA), along with an annual employer contribution.
Vacation & Holidays
The company offers 15 days of vacation in a full calendar year. Vacation is pro-rated your first year based on your hire date.
AmericanAg® also provides paid holidays and floating holidays. Floating holidays are prorated your first year.
Summer Hours
During the summer, AmericanAg® offers summer hours. You can opt to reallocate your working hours in the preceding nine days and take every other Friday off.
Sick Leave & Disability Benefits
All full-time employees receive 15 sick days when they start at AmericanAg® and earn a day of sick leave each full calendar month of employment.
Salary continuation for a short-term disability is paid at 100% of salary, while long-term disability coverage is provided at 60% of salary.
Paid Parental/Adoption Leave
AmericanAg® offers generous leave policies for new parents, including 12 weeks of paid maternity leave and two weeks of paid paternity leave following the birth of a child, and eight weeks of paid parental leave following the adoption of a child or placement of a foster child.
Continuing Education
AmericanAg® pays 100% of the cost of approved seminars, classes, and certification and/or designation program fees for employees.
The company also reimburses you for up to $600 per credit hour for degree programs, provided upon completion of the degree program.
